The City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Trowel Occupations is suitable for employed individuals who have already achieved Level 2 NVQ in Trowel Occupations and are able to demonstrate that they are working at a Level 3 standard and can meet the criteria mentioned below to complete the qualification.
The course is designed to develop learner skills, knowledge base and competence in wood occupations within the construction industry or to progress onto further learning opportunities. Course content includes; - Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace; Confirming Work Activities and Resources for an Occupational Work Area in the Workplace; Confirming the Occupational Method of Work in the Workplace; Installing Bespoke First Fixing Components in the Workplace; Installing Bespoke Second Fixing Components in the Workplace; Developing and Maintaining Good Occupational Working Relationships in the Workplace; Setting Up and Using Transportable Cutting and Shaping Machines in the Workplace; Erecting Structural Carcassing Components in the Workplace; Erecting Roof Structure Carcassing Components in the Workplace; Maintaining Non-structural and structural Components in the Workplace.

The course is primarily on-site assessment, so you will be in your normal working environment
This is a standalone full NVQ level 3 that will be delivered via OSAT (On Site Assessment & Training) route. All the practical elements of the course will be assessed on site, however some of the theory element (State, Describe, Explain) will be delivered at college as evening class provision. There are three elements to this course: Building a portfolio of evidence; On site observations of the candidate; Classroom sessions for group and one to one support
